During this initial 2 hour appointment, we will address your health concerns, review your health history, formulate an individualized treatment plan, and provide your first acupuncture treatment.

Follow up appointments are for established patients who have already completed their new patient session. This appointment includes a check in, herbal/supplement evaluation and acupuncture treatment.

Alexandria Guasco

Alex is a licensed acupuncturist and clinical herbalist based in Oregon. Graduating with a Master’s in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM), one of the nation’s top programs, Alex has always been drawn to the potential for healing and vibrant living.

Having embarked on her own journey into nutrition and wellness practices 15 years ago, Alex understands firsthand the ups and downs of life and the challenges of navigating it alone.

Her treatments are tailored to focus on the individual and their unique needs, always aiming to support overall health goals and regain strength and resilience. She collaborates with you to create a treatment plan, ensuring you play an active role in your recovery and healing journey. She firmly believes in the innate healing power within each person and that achievable goals, routine changes, and consistency can make a significant difference in health.

Dereck Shaw, L.Ac.

Dereck is a state-licensed and nationally certified acupuncturist, specializing in Japanese style acupuncture. He graduated in 2004 with a Master of Science degree from the Traditional Chinese Medical College of Hawaii. His approach, while similar to Chinese acupuncture, incorporates unique techniques that focus on alleviating symptoms and reestablishing health at a core level.

Throughout his career, he has successfully helped clients with a wide variety of health concerns, including lower back pain, sciatica, shoulder and neck tension, migraines, neuropathy, depression, sleep issues, and much more. His goal is to improve the quality of life for each client through personalized and effective acupuncture treatments.

He resides in Southern Oregon with his wife and two young children. They cherish the outdoors and enjoy exploring the vast beauty that surrounds them. Dereck is excited to be a part of the Epic Wellness team and looks forward to helping clients achieve better health and well-being.
